A metabolic reset
A measured five-night reset for your blood sugar, your weight, and the quiet inflammation underneath — held in nature, and proven at day 90.
(001) What's really going on
For most of our guests, this was never about willpower. Modern life keeps the body in a low, steady state of alarm — short sleep, long sitting, constant stress — and that alarm quietly nudges blood sugar up and makes the body less able to hear its own insulin. Add ultra-processed food and years of pushing through, and the result is a metabolism running hot: rising numbers, stubborn weight, and an inflammation you can feel but can't quite name. The body isn't broken. It's responding, exactly as designed, to an environment that never lets it rest.
(002) The evidence
What the research shows
Across randomized controlled trials, following a plant-based diet for two weeks or more improved insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) and lowered fasting insulin in people carrying extra weight.
[Source: Nutrients (peer-reviewed meta-analysis of RCTs)]Losing even about 5% of body weight has been shown to improve the way the liver and muscles respond to insulin and to improve the pancreas's ability to regulate blood sugar.
[Source: Diabetes Spectrum, American Diabetes Association]In a landmark trial, a structured weight-loss program put type 2 diabetes into remission for 36% of participants at two years — versus 3% in usual care — with remission closely tied to sustained weight loss.
[Source: The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology (DiRECT trial)]Higher intake of dietary fiber from whole plant foods is linked to lower levels of C-reactive protein, a key marker of chronic inflammation, in part through short-chain fatty acids made by the gut microbiome.
[Source: International Journal of Molecular Sciences (peer-reviewed review)]Simply spending time in nature lowers the stress hormone cortisol, with the greatest benefit per minute measured when a nature break lasts about 20 to 30 minutes.

“The body was never broken. It was only waiting for a place quiet enough to reset.”
(003) How Santerra drives it
The method, aimed at this
Three phases. Most retreats only run the middle one.
[PHASE 1]
Preparation
Before you arrive, we take a baseline. You complete a flourishing assessment and set a plain, personal intention for your metabolic health, and — with a wearable — we begin capturing your everyday glucose, sleep, and activity. This is the 'before' picture, so the change at day 90 is something we measure together, not something we merely hope for.
[PHASE 2]
Immersion
Across five nights we work on the real levers behind blood sugar and inflammation, not around them: plant-forward meals you actually enjoy, gentle daily walking in the Georgia woods, and a full rest day — because even one short night of sleep measurably lowers insulin sensitivity. The forgiveness and purpose work is part of the medicine here, calming the stress that keeps the body's alarm switched on.
[PHASE 3]
Reinforcement
A reset only counts if it holds. For 90 days you keep monthly coaching and a small community of fellow travelers, so the plant-forward habits and daily movement settle into ordinary life. Then we bring you back to the numbers — because sustained change, not a good week, is what actually moves metabolic health.
(004) And then we measure it
At day 90 we re-measure your flourishing scores alongside your wearable deltas — resting glucose patterns, sleep, and daily movement — so your metabolic reset shows up as real, personal change and not just a feeling.
You'll see the change in your own numbers — the part almost no one else proves.
